Mapping perinatal mental health learning outcomes for future education commissioning and multi-professional credentialing programme

We were asked by Health Education England (HEE) to review their main post-registration learning offers in perinatal mental health and map learning outcomes in order to identify gaps for education programmes.

We are conducting contextual mapping and curriculum mapping. In the contextual mapping, we are assessing how learning outcomes best support contribution to achievement of the ambitions from the NHS policies. In the curriculum mapping, we are mapping learning outcomes to the perinatal mental health competency framework. This mapping intends to show the learning gaps so that future commissioning of educational content by the mental health team can offer value for money and inter-professional learning where appropriate.
